The "Asteroid Mission" program is inspired by NASA's OSIRIS-Rex mission that now crosses the space into the asteroid BENNU with the goal of studying the asteroid and collecting samples from its surface.
Students aged 10 to 13 will have the opportunity to study and apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts as well as robotics and programming in a replica of the asteroid surface, having several obstacles and missions to be fulfilled, always guided by Instructors trained at the Kennedy Space Center in the United States.
In this unprecedented educational collaboration program between Brazil and BFCC and KSCIA in the United States, students will experience some of the challenges faced by NASA scientists at the OSIRIS-Rex Mission.
The program will be launched in partnership with schools in Brazil and tentatively in the United States.
